Ibadat Hospital was established in\u00a01987 initially\u00a0by simply upgrading a 10 bedded Day care center to a a short day residential\u00a0Mental Health Care facility. The Day care center along with out-patient consultation clinic was established in 1983.The center was run as part of community health as a coordinated activity involving Mental Health experts, senior recovered patients, key relatives, spiritual and religious advisors and Family practitioners.<\/p>\n
Currently Ibadat Hospital provides most modern mental health, Psychiatric and Drug Dependence treatment facilities, which includes\u00a0an internationally reputed senior retired professor of psychiatry and his colleague in the specialty, skilled psychotherapists and counselors, attending medical officers, trained nursing and ancillary staff. The hospital has investigation facilities like neuropsychological testing, EEG, ECG and a well-equipped Laboratory. A rented registered pharmacy further facilitates the patients. The hospital\u00a0is\u00a0medium sized with modern air conditioned and non-air-conditioned\u00a0rooms and wards to satisfy the financial capacity of the patients. The mainstream of patients are outdoor patients which are given consultation services every day from 9 to 5 pm daily except Sundays and national holidays. The services are further integrated with an NGO Horizon in order to\u00a0cater the needs of poor and needy through a technical and financial assistance on regular basis. For this purpose, Horizon is provided with rent free office and a periodic financial grant in aid by the Ibadat\u00a0Hospital.<\/p>\n
The Hospital is a private registered\u00a0company with Five-member board of directors. In the past 20 years thousands of patients were benefitted from this healthcare facility.<\/p>\n
Ibadat Hospital is registered by the KPK HEALTH REGULATION AUTHORITY. Ibadat hospital has a legal advisor and\u00a0other Professional advisors. The hospital has an effective networking with other experts in the medical, surgical and allied fields for prompt consultation and necessary help. It may be emphasized that there is increasing multimorbidity in this region which results into complex emergencies due to the effects of War, Trauma, pollution refugee influx, increasingly internally displaced communities, rapid population growth and poverty bomb. Keeping in view of these realities the hospital provides opportunities and encourages young doctors, nurses and clinical psychologists to go through an internship\u00a0training in disaster mental health management. Approximately more than one\u00a0hundred persons are trained as a mental health and drug abuse resources persons, who are delivering services In and outside Pakistan, especially neighboring Afghanistan.<\/p>\n
Ibadat hospital\u00a0caters for a sizeable number of Pakistani and Afghani communities. Since its inception the popularity and number of patients are increasing with encouragement. As patients with different socioeconomic strata attend for consultation, therefore the fee structure is accordingly adjusted. For example, every day more than20 to 30 patients are given discounts in consultation fee. Professor Dr. Mufti per his nature carries out patient\u2019s fee reduction requests, generously and positively. It is the Hospital policy to give free consultation to\u00a0the needy poor. For this purpose, Friday clinic is by large a free clinic. Even on any working day poor patients are compensated. Ibadat hospital gives generous donations to HORIZON, a sister Health relief agency to carry out their notable tasks for humanity smoothly.
\nThe hospital has a satisfactory security system which include security team and the CCTV arrangements. Hospital is equipped with the necessary fire extinguishers and\u00a0with\u00a0three\u00a0emergency Exits in case of an unwanted emergency. All the plastic materials, glass and needle materials are send for proper disposition in accordance with the Environmental Protection Laws.<\/p>\n
