Training and education of the volunteers, professionals, health care workers, teachers, journalists and religious scholars is the corner stone of Horizon’s objectives, and it has experienced and trained resource persons in the field of mental health and substance abuse, treatment, rehabilitation and prevention.

The president of American Psychiatric Association took keen interest in meeting communities and investing spiritual therapy program in a mythic school of Peshawar city. He also delivered lectures to medical students in a medical school of Peshawar.

The chairman Horizon Prof Dr. Khalid A. Mufti has been conducting training workshops on regular basis for medical officers, psychologists, paramedics, volunteers and other health professionals. Every Friday a presentation is delivered by one the resource person of the horizon. The program offers an overview of the drug addiction and major mental disorders, the effect of such disorders on sufferers, family and community, and what help can be offered.
